Tellus/Netsmart EVV Suspension

As you may be aware, the ABA EVV pilot program in AHCA Regions 9, 10, and 11 has been suspended. ABA service providers billing Medicaid in those regions will no longer be required to use Tellus/Netsmart EVV effective February 5th, 2022. At that time, the CR Essentials mobile application will no longer send data to Tellus/Netsmart.

We have some great news for you! You can still complete your mobile visits with the CR Essentials mobile application. Confidently deliver services -- anytime, anywhere. Book appointments, collect signatures and session data to provide top-quality care on the go.

A few facts about this recent change:

  • The 21st Century CURES Act still requires that states implement EVV for Personal Care Services requiring in-home visits.
  • While the Tellus/Netsmart EVV pilot program has been suspended, it is our understanding that the program will be reinstated at a later date.

The AHCA will be posting more updates, as they become available here.

How can you submit Medicaid Claims starting February 5th? We recommend using the streamlined integration CR Essentials offers with Change Healthcare.  If you don’t already have Change Healthcare for claims submission, we can help you get started. Email sales@centralreach.com for more information.

If you prefer, you can also submit your claims through the Florida Medicaid Secure Web Portal.

What happens to any unmatched claims I see in my Tellus Portal?

Good news: because you use CR Essentials you will be able to continue to see the session details in CR Essentials and file the claim properly in the Medicaid Portal. As of February 5th, any claim data, matched or unmatched that was processed using the EVV functionality, will still be accessible, trackable, and reportable from your Behaviorsoft account.

We will continue to communicate any changes or news, as we learn more.
